Padraig Jack – ‘One Way Ticket Time’
Cork alt folk ensemble SILLK, Orla Travers and Julian Halpin perform a string-laden melange of ‘Gothic Chamber Grunge’. Travers’ original lyrics waste little time in driving to the heart of each story and her vocal performance further accentuates their perilous nature and Noir sensibilities.
Described by one reviewer as “a dichotomy of light-hearted play and heavy subject matter, balanced, bearing a wide, irreverent grin”, we are Folk’n chuffed to have SILLK perform at this months club. Info, sparse though it may be, can be found on their Facebook page

Sarah Buckley – ‘Wedding Bells’
The Folk’n Soup Club is an independent club nite whose M.O. is to make each event as unique as the audience it entertains. For us music and performance variety are vital, no two club nites are the same. We aim to plug, promote and praise rising and established performers. The Folk’n Soup Club is a ‘Not for Profit’ initiative out of which all proceeds go towards funding your entertainment.
The value we place on each club nite is €10, entry includes a restaurant quality, specialty seasonal soup. The take at the door goes to the performers. Remaining monies are reinvested to make each successive club nite a unique performance experience for artists and audience alike. Where possible we donate to our featured charities. The Folk’n Soup Club acknowledges the help of, and is grateful to our monthly supporters; The Washerwoman Ballina, Tuscany Bistro Ballina and Flanagan’s on the Lake (yep you guessed it, in Ballina). #GETSOUPED
